Bruichladdich Black Art 11.1 is a 24-year-old single malt Scotch whisky with an 88.4 proof (44.2% ABV). It has a deep amber color, orange marmalade appearance, and is non-chill filtered. The whisky has notes of dried apricots, caramel butterscotch, candle wax, green apples, nutmeg, and rosemary. On the palate, it has caramel, dried currants, and coriander seeds. Some say the whisky grows on you with each sip, layering on new complexity but never overwhelming.

Black Art 11.1 is bottled at natural cask strength and is made with pre-renaissance Bruichladdich stock. The barley and cask types are undisclosed, and the final recipe is a mystery. The whisky is created in total secrecy, with the consumer putting complete trust in Bruichladdich's Head Distiller, Adam Hannett.
