Old Forester's 2022 Birthday Bourbon is a limited-edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that is 96 proof and made from 11-year-old barrels. The bourbon is the 22nd release of the Birthday Bourbon and is made to honor the birthday of Old Forester's founder, George Gavin Brown, who was born on September 2, 1846. The bourbon has a thin texture at first, then becomes chewier, with notes of caramelized orange peel, cherry fruit, vanilla bean, graham cracker, toasted and charred oak, and cedar. It also has a subtle fruit flavor, sweet roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, and a smooth and light finish with velvety coffee and mocha notes.
